Set on a hillside covered with olive trees, the gardens and pool provide an exceptionally scenic and private oasis for unwinding in peace. Whether you plan to stay at La Meridiana in the height of the summer,
the spring or autumn, cooling off in our private pool is a pleasure to be savoured. Many find that it is the gardens which make the setting truly magical.
Pool
Walk down through the gardens for about 60 metres from the villa and you will find the pool area. Surrounded by green lawns, the beautifully designed pool with infinity edge. The pool is heated by the solar panels on the roof. In summer the panels are active every day to add a little extra warmth to the pool temperature.
It is 13 metres long with a depth of 1.4 metres to 1.8 metres, so large enough for swimming lengths. Those with young children will appreciate the built-in steps. Around the pool are ten sun loungers and a couple of parasols, while pool towels are provided for all guests.
A well equipped pool house has its own kitchenette, a bedroom and shower room. Its large covered terrace is a favourite spot for lunch or evening drinks.
Gardens
The delightful gardens at La Meridiana were created by renowned garden designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd, the wife of the villa owner. Incorporating nearly 100 trees, shrubs and plants of different variety, the garden extends from the terraces surrounding the house down to the lawns of the pool area. From a canopy of quince, to pomegranate trees, scented lavender, pots and beds rich with colourful flowering plants, the garden provides a wonderful setting for relaxing in style.
Tennis Court & Table Tennis
There is both a tennis court and table tennis table at La Meridiana, setting the scene for endless hours of fun for more active guests. The tennis court can be found by following a path through trees, around 100 metres from La Meridiana. It is shared exclusively with neighbouring villa, Palazzo Parisi. The surface is not championship quality but fine for a friendly knock up. You will need to bring your own tennis balls but rackets are provided. You will find the table tennis table, bats and balls to the side of the studio annexe by the villa.
